Position Description
This position will utilize expert skills in developing functional web-based and desktop applications, using ASP.NET, VB.NET, AJAX, classic ASP, JavaScript, and SQL (MS SQL Server) technologies. Those skills will be used to develop all Web-based applications and enhancements and revisions to custom software. Other responsibilities include interpreting and assisting in defining business requirements, performing quality control, utilizing project management software, managing timelines, and assisting the data analyst with data-related tasks.
Position Role/Responsibilities
- Handle multiple tasks from multiple projects

- Conduct specifications-gathering meetings with peers

- Develop detailed unit and system test plans and perform rigorous testing to ensure high application quality
- Provide input to technical standards and assist in evaluating new or alternative tools, standards, guidelines, and policies
- Continuing growing skills and technical knowledge with self-motivated education
- Assist development team in designing structured layouts that add to the visual appeal of sites
- Utilizing basic understanding of concepts and development of relational database structure and data normalization
- Various other technical duties as assigned by the Manager of Information System Services (ISS)
Desired Skills Set
- Two to three years of application development experience
- Minimum of two years of data/database analysis experience preferred
- Superior knowledge and understanding of ASP.NET, VB.NET, classic ASP, JavaScript (ECMA Script), and SQL programming
- Working knowledge and experience with AJAX/Atlas technologies
- Intermediate T-SQL skills
- Intermediate SQL Server Integration Services development skills
