Description:
We are currently seeking an Editor who will perform primary editorial functions for one product and serve as editorial team member on other products.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Editing with particular attention paid to researching and referencing pieces in an efficient, editorially savvy manner.
  • Researching, assembling, editing, and proofreading intelligent, accurate, brand-appropriate pieces for a variety of materials for consumers, patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals ensuring editorial integrity at every stage.
  • Working closely with other team members to resolve content, referencing, and scheduling issues and to ensure accuracy, clarity, readability, and appeal of materials.
  • Collaborating on projects to assist in researching, writing, and/or assembling pieces.
  • Incorporating comments and changes in subsequent rounds in a timely and intelligent manner.
  • Regularly screening medical journals and online resources to research trends in the appropriate areas.
  • Comfortable with online search methodology, proofing Web pages, checking copy against site outlines, verifying links and navigation elements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in medical copy editing/writing in a pharmaceutical advertising agency, in-house agency, interactive company, or medical publishing company
  • Demonstrated strong conceptual abilities and writing skills
  • Ability to research, understand, and process healthcare information
  • Working knowledge of AMA style essential
  • Organization, wiring skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle numerous assignments at once
  • Strong interest in science/research, organizational end of editing/writing process
  • Solid knowledge of brand science and marketing goals
  • Thoroughly understands assigned brands: indication, therapeutic implications, competition
  • Able to work independently, but also team oriented
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
