Position: Group Account Supervisor

Description:
Group Account Supervisors have the ability and understanding to align both strategy and tactics with the overall brand vision. Group Account Supervisors have the duality of being able to create the underlying strategies for the brand and also "roll-up their sleeves" to execute large tactical initiatives. The client knows that when they are speaking with the Group Account Supervisor that he/she is able to discuss, recommend and provide direction on issues ranging from strategy, reconciliation, staffing, timelines and POV's.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategy
    • Act as keeper of the strategic focus for the brand as it relates to all marketing segments.
    • Develop customer acquisition, conversion, and retention relationship marketing strategies.
    • Develop supporting tactical plans in support of brand objectives.
    • Recommend and participate in all brand qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Execution
    • Oversee the development of all relationship marketing materials to ensure that they reflect brand strategy.
    • DR Print, Direct mail, email, fulfillment, call center, Web sites.
    • In office resource kits, DVDs, doctor-patient discussion materials.
    • Lead all workplan development and workflow to ensure project timelines are appropriate, realistic, and achievable.
    • Integrate workplans with client stakeholder engagement (e.g. advisory boards) and key events (e.g. POA).
    • Maintain constant project status reporting, management, troubleshooting, and escalations.
    • Evaluate program performance along traditional metrics, such as response rates, ROI, etc.
    • Manage tracking of forecast and budget and bring any significant billing issues to the attention of executive managers.
  • Client
    • Demonstrate understanding of client business structure.
    • Build relationships with senior level product management of own account in addition to other accounts when appropriate.
    • Identify and participate in agency new business initiatives as requested.
  • Agency
    • Work with SVP to ensure that account is staffed appropriately to meet client needs.
    • Maintain a superior knowledge and understanding of agency resources in order to effectively handle crisis situations.
    • Keep on top of industry trends and ensure team members are informed as well.
    • Ensure that account team is trained appropriately regarding how to write contact reports, creative work plans, and strategic points-of-view
    • Manage, mentor and train Team Support Managers, Account Executives and Account Supervisors and ensure that yearly reviews are performed for all team members.
    • Encourage account teams to interact and consult with other account teams to share best practices and gain advice for crisis situations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Background in pharmaceutical advertising account management and relationship marketing.
  • Excellent personal presentation with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing, mentoring and leading an account team.
  • Strong conceptual skills and the ability to creatively solve problems.
  • Organized, analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
