Description:
Our client is currently looking for a VP or SVP, Account Planner to join our team. The Vice President, Account Planner will play an integral role in setting strategic direction for brand communications. An individual with a passion and discipline for “ideas” and advertising will excel in this role.
The ideal candidate will work proactively as a core team member together with Account Management and Creative Team on assigned brands to:
- Identify and leverage market and customer insights into meaningful brand ideas and strategies.
- Work closely with account management and creative teams to become a valued strategic partner both internally and externally
- Create a “workshop” style environment dialogue that inspires creative thinking among diverse groups of people
- Lead teams in developing compelling, single-minded strategies and briefs that inspire great creative
- Provide an agency perspective on market research planning, execution and translation.
- Participate in New Business efforts—conducting market research, writing the creative brief, and presenting key insights to the prospective client.
The right candidate will have the skills and personality to take a leadership role in developing and inspiring brand-building ideas and communication strategies. Candidates should have 4-6 years of account/strategic planning experience…or expertise in a relevant field, like cultural anthropology, psychology, ethnography or qualitative research, with the desire and ability to apply their skills to the creative development process.
