Description:
Position Summary:
Develop concepts and write promotional copy for assigned accounts.

Responsibilities of Position
  • Prepare manuscript copy for all promotional projects on assigned accounts
  • Participate in job opening meetings
  • Develop sufficient scientific knowledge base for assigned products
  • Understand marketing plans for assigned products, contribute to development whenever possible
  • Participate in conceptual phase of project development
  • Interact with art director from the inception of a project through its completion
  • Meet all client requirements for manuscript submission for all assigned accounts
  • Meet assigned deadlines, or notify immediate supervisor and account coordinator two days prior to deadline if copy due date can not be met
  • Obtain and highlight all references as needed and as required by individual accounts
  • Route copy through internal channels and obtain necessary signatures (e.g. copy supervisor, account supervisor, medical director)
  • Participate in client presentations when appropriate
  • Attend meetings that pertain to market research or sales training whenever appropriate
  • Seek opportunities to work with sales representatives whenever appropriate

Minimum Requirements
  • Qualifying for this position normally requires the following:
  • Four-year college degree
  • Medical agency experience preferred/Familiarity with biomedical literature
  • Experience in advertising copywriting
  • Computer literate in Word, WordPerfect, Windows or similar package
