Description: Summary: Research specialized areas of medical science in order to write, edit, and proofread scientific communications (primarily for physicians and nurse audiences). This position will work with internal & external members of multiple project teams to produce a range of printed and electronic materials that satisfy the needs of our clients. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in life sciences from four-year college; combined with a Master’s degree, PhD, PharmD, RN, or MD. PharmD with residency and publication/writing experience or experience in medical pharmaceutical field strongly preferred. Minimum 4 years relevant medical information, communications, or marketing experience required, or an appropriate combination of education and experience. Technical Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of general office equipment (telephone, fax, computer, copier, printer, scanner, etc.) Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office including Publisher, PowerPoint, email, proprietary database software, contract management, internet software and proficiency with bibliography software (e.g., EndNote, Reference Manager). Individual should have proficiency using medical/scientific publication databases/resources; basic understanding of scientific methodology with ability to understand clinical development including the phases, processes and techniques used within a clinical development environment from protocol design through regulatory submission.
