Description
The VP, Program Services will manage medical education plans for multiple clients/multiple brands from strategic concept development through staffing and quality control of deliverable(s), while simultaneously monitoring overall brand's financial status. He or she will leverage scientific acumen and tactical experience to drive organic growth for agency from strategic concept development through staffing and quality control of deliverable(s). The VP, Program Services will manage account teams of PDs/associate PDs/assistant PDs/senior PDs to drive development and execution of multiple account initiatives, and act as a strategic guide and mentor for direct reports. The VP, Program Services participates regularly on new business team pitches.

Responsibility
Professional
  • Critically review and trouble-shoot managerial account updates and fiscal status
  • Responsible for mentoring the development of direct reports
  • Plays pivotal role in identifying resources for building agency dynamics
  • Masters management skills and gains exposure to building team dynamics
  • Ability to handle multiple accounts at one time. Also able to handle single account without any interaction from Sr. Management.
Program Coordination/Account Management
  • Manages the development and production of account assigned communication tactics, either independently or as supervisor of account team
  • Articulate and defend POA for tactical recommendations
  • Manages and advances multiple client relationships, by serving as strategic partner, utilizing knowledge of scientific, clinical, and commercial underpinnings for multiple brands, their competitors, and landscape
  • Proactively strategizes and makes recommendations to clients in order to maintain or expand "share of voice" in the market
  • Guides in the development of annual brand tactical plan and financial estimates

  • Quarterly and fiscal responsibility for brand revenues

Requirements
Professional/Business
  • Working and operational knowledge of MS Office
  • Possess excellent communication (written and oral), analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Highly organized, ability to manages time and prioritize tasks
  • Passion for excellence - extremely detailed oriented
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Experience in medical communication agency for 7-9 years; experience in applicable disease state a plus
  • Willingness to travel
Education
  • Degree in life science or degree liberal arts, marketing or communications with a strong appreciation for medical science writing and interest in pharmaceutical marketing
