JOB SUMMARY
As Medical Director, it is essential that you have a commanding knowledge in any one or more of the following therapeutic areas; immunology, oncology (across several cancer types), cardiovascular, infectious disease, neurology, internal medicine (which includes pulmonology, nephrology, and rheumatology). As Medical Director you will also be responsible for continual innovation and process development. You will lead strategy development and implementation to build capabilities within the Medical Promotions group to grow our service offerings. You may attend and lead advisory board and publications planning meetings, strategic medical education planning, strategic scientific and medical communications, prepare scientific copy as needed, and serve as scientific expert in any your therapeutic area of expertise as it relates to promotional strategy.

    • Quality assurance (Accurate, on-time, on-budget)
    • Oversight of Scientific Content (strategic, messaging, writing quality)
    • KOL relationships and management
  • Fiscal Responsibility
    • Drives budget and has fiscal accountability of scientific projects
    • Assists the AE with forecasting and staffing
    • Assist with Resource Planning
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
  • An advanced degree such as a MD, PharmD, PhD and 5+ years in any of or more of the above mentioned therapeutic areas
  • Provided pharmaceutical clients with strategic/scientific direction
  • The ability to interpret data and provide scientific direction, have excellent communication skills and work strategically with clients
  • Working autonomously in a team structure; and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Management experience
  • The ability and willingness to travel (up to 30%)
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet research
  • Punctual, responsive, Self-motivated and reliable
