Our client has an immediate opening for an Associate Director of Scientific Communications.
Responsibilities
- Provide scientific expertise and guidance to assigned brand teams
- Contribute to development of branded and unbranded communications strategies
- Participate in new business pitches
- Attend scientific/medical conventions, including key symposia, poster sessions, and presentations to increase knowledge and write reports.
- Build relationships with clinical and research executives in the pharmaceutical industry as well as academic opinion leaders
- Assist in the development of scientifically-focused manuscripts for educational promotional materials (ie, slide kits)
Knowledge and Skills
- PhD, PharmD, or MS required in biomedical sciences
- Expertise in oncology preferred
- Experience in: developing medical and marketing concepts through critical analysis of data, distilling complex technical information for a variety of medical audiences, writing proposals and scientific convention reports
- Excellent communication skills; must work well in a team-oriented environment; ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple, parallel projects
