Position Description
The Research and Analytics Manager will have high-level skills in both traditional marketing research and new data analytics methods, while serving both as Manager in the intra department of Marketing and Advertising and as a member of the cross-functional team. This position will also be expected to team with the Marketing and Advertising Director to plan and execute new innovative services and other internal investment projects.
The Research and Analytics Manager will be responsible for the design, execution, analysis, and reporting/interpretation of results for research/analytics and data management projects. In addition, he/she will work independently in the primary and secondary research processes in alignment with internal and external client goals, objectives, and disease state/therapeutic knowledge as well as advanced levels of overall project ownership. Responsibilities will include general management of, and expert consultation on existing projects and new business opportunities, as well as employing efficiencies in project work/timelines while demonstrating highly effective project management, organization, and communication skills. In the role of functional project manager, motivational leadership will be expected with a focus on customer service, analysis, problem solving, and implementation of innovative methods for executing all phases of the following research projects:
- Primary Research — Independently develop and execute surveys using appropriate survey software; work with medical liaison and/or Team Lead to apply disease state and product knowledge to write survey questions; work with Team Lead to create final deliverable; tabulate survey results using survey software; independently analyze and review data, including open-ended questions; interpret findings to produce concise and actionable reports for clients
- Secondary Research—Help design research methodology; analyze and provide findings on data in order to determine future project or client strategy or to identify key questions in a given market; assist in the preparation of written and visual deliverables to current and prospective clients as well as internal management.

Education and Experience
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Math, Sociology, or Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on statistics
- Master’s degree or PhD in related field preferred
- Six to eight years of related experience, including supervisory experience
- Experience in the life sciences a plus
