SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst is responsible for the development and analysis of both high level and detailed analytics to support partnership opportunities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data manipulation, mathematical, and statistical modeling to analyze sales and/or marketing efforts in order to maximize financial results
- Perform latent class analytics, multivariate analytics; create promotional response models
- Build a forecast projection by product or market via the use of secondary data to establish historical trends and incorporate the impact of market events
- Model the impact of multi-product portfolios
- Performs analytics to support targeting, call planning incentive compensation for sales and/or marketing
- Through data analyses, provides key insights/conclusions/recommendations for GO / NO GO decision on Phase III opportunities
- Ad Hoc analytics in support of Business Development and Sales, including Select Access, Dedicated, and On Demand
- May be called upon, as business needs dictate, to provide technical/analytical/training support on the Informatics team
- Presentation to internal and external executives/clients (may be client facing)

EXPERIENCE:
- 5-7 years experience in an analytical capacity preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (commercial role preferred)
- Strong understanding and familiarity of pharmaceutical sales and marketing data
- Thorough knowledge of advanced analytical and data management techniques; forecasting, portfolio optimization, promotional response modeling, call planning, etc.
EDUCATION:
- BS, MBA, or equivalent in a quantitative field required (e.g. Math, statistics, finance, etc)
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficiency with all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
- SAS, SPSS, Paradox, FoxPro, NCSS, Cognos
- Advanced knowledge of at least one server based database management system (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, etc.).
