Position: VP Account Group Supervisor/Managed Care

A full-service advertising agency specializing in the health-care industry. They provide a wide range of marketing, educational, media, and creative services directed at healthcare professionals, providers, business-to-business targets, and consumers.

Description:
  • Provides strategic leadership to the Account, Creative, and Client teams for anti-infective account.
  • Proactively challenges and addresses Client needs for long-term future (i.e. beyond current/next sales period).
  • Encourages and provides for growth and development of AS/AE Staff Assistants.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes activity among accounts.
  • Manages/steps in to challenge Client activities when necessary.
  • Anticipates and resolves Agency problems with workload, staffing, etc., having the benefit of a more global view.
  • Consistently submits proposals to Client with new ideas/programs to address new marketing issues.
  • Hires, trains, and supervises Account Supervisors, challenges and enhances growth and development of Account Supervisors, Account Executives, and Staff Assistants, as appropriate.
  • Runs account as a separate business unit-makes management aware of problems and successes, as well as profitability and staffing needs.
  • Helps to install knowledge, acceptance, and integration of agency innovations with Clients and Agency staff.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS
  • At least 2-3 years experience in a pharmaceutical advertising agency background on Direct-to-Professional accounts.
  • Previous client-side experience desired but not required.
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior account staff.
  • Must be a great communicator.
  • Must have dedication to providing outstanding client service and thrive on multi-tasking.
